Happy Leap Day friends! When we thought about what today means, like what it really means, we got a little excited. A free day? Just added to the calendar?! Sure, we could all skip out on work, but what’s the fun in that?

Instead we put together a list of 29 ways to make today awesome.

WARNING: Side effects of following this list of helpful ideas for having an awesome day may lead to improved well-being, increased productivity, reduced stress, enhanced relationships, promotion of self-care, boosted motivation, improved mental health, and greater fulfillment overall. :)

1. Smile - it takes more muscles to frown.

2. Enjoy a warm beverage.

3. Write down 3 things you are grateful for.

4. Dance.

5. Do 5 minutes of mindful breathing.

6. Go for a short walk.

7. Wear your favorite color/outfit.

8. Eat a healthy breakfast.

9. Buy fresh flowers.

10. Declutter one thing (drawer, makeup, shelf).

11. Leave 5-10 minutes early so you aren't rushed. 

12. Tell a friend what they mean to you.

13. Single task instead of multi-task.

14. Eat lunch outside.

15. Handwrite a note and deliver or mail to someone.

16. Tell your loved ones you love them.

17. Praise yourself. You are awesome.

18. Be present.

19. Compliment a stranger.

20. Do a random act of kindness.

21. Do or learn one new thing today.

22. Have dinner by candlelight - even if it's not fancy.
